This two tier French Vanilla Cake with Lemon Curd filling, was in keeping with the country rustic theme of the wedding at The Caledon Inn, Caledon East, Ontario. The table decorations were pots of different ferns, the varying colours of green on the white table cloths and maroon serviettes made for a beautiful outdoor reception. The cake was covered with pale green fondant and decorated with Gum Paste ferns, both long leafed and maidenhair. The stems of the maidenhair were painted on with dark green food colour. The cake board was set on four terracotta pot legs painted cream. The decor included a pot of fern leaves on the first tier in the centre under the pedestal holding the top tier. The bride was wearing stephanotis in her hair so a small sprig of the flowers were placed on the top tier. This cake was overwhelmingly lauded lby the guests after set up as one of the more unusual and nicest designs they had seen at recent weddings.

This really simple elegant cake was actually for two receptions, one tier was for immediately after the ceremony, a small party, then the larger tier was served at the reception party later that night. |

This cake was made to suit a small wedding but still with the elegance of a large cake. The roses were hand made and coloured to match the bridal party colours. The drapes of icing matched the flounces on the wedding dress worn by the bride. |

| This slab wedding cake had a slanted heart cake placed in the centre. The Orchid gum paste flower arrangements were given to the mothers of the bride and groom as a keepsake, and the centre one was kept by the bride. The wedding was held in the couples garden and the reception was held in a newly renovated complete with drywall, garage attached to the house | ||

| This cake was for an at home surprise wedding. The guests were told that the occasion was the blessing of a new house and the announcement of an engagement. The house was blessed then the priest stated that they might as well have the wedding as everyone was there. The brides dress was a blue grey. Matching the dress was quite a challenge but not as challenging as making and matching the colour of the “Sterling” roses that were especially grown for this occasion. Fortunately our designer nailed the colour of both and the bride was ecstatic. | ||

The Comma shape of these tiers and the combination of sugar roses and silk ivy make this two tier cake very special. A Celtic symbol on the sides of the cake and on the candle symbolizes the union of two cultures. |

This two tier cake has a cutout on the back of the base tier to allow for a pole to support the smaller top tier. Sugar flowers and ivy cascade down from the top and flow over the base tier. A pale green band around each tier and moulded cupids complete the picture. |

A slab sized base with two tilted hearts make for an unusual design for this cake for a second Wedding. All flowers, navy roses and yellow daisies were handmade and wired in these bouquets. |
